The Emery Board Kit is a DIY terrain survey tool, originally intended to generate a profile of the shoreline but can be used to measure any kind of elevation change. This technique is named after Kenneth O. Emery, a world renowned coastal scientist and geologist.
Public Lab is excited to launch this kit as an extremely simple, fast, and low cost way of generating topographic data that can be used to monitor terrain change over time.

- 2 pine boards
- 3 meter sticks
- A hacksaw
- Wood glue and foam brush
- Bubble level
- Laser level
- Corner level
