The "Bucket" Refill - Ferrules and Sample Bags
The “Bucket” is a low-cost, community-friendly air sampler that helps people measure toxic chemicals in their air. Developed in the late 1990s, it was one of the first (if not the very first) do-it-together environmental monitors.
Buckets continue to be a critical tool for fenceline communities. These kits can be used to test for chemicals such as benzene, hydrogen sulfide, perchloroethylene, and vinyl chloride, as well as other volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and sulfur compounds. Watch this video to learn more about how to take an air quality sample using the "Bucket" monitoring system.
This variant of our kit does not include a "Bucket" or any of the components needed to build the bucket. This variant includes only the hardware (plug and ferrule) and sample bags needed to collect a sample with an already built bucket. The purpose of this product is to collect additional samples using an already built Bucket Air Quality Monitoring Kit. Each sample bag, plug, and ferrule are single use items - you can not re-use hardware or sample bags.
